Hazelwood Brewing Co.: Clamp No. 2
Hazelwood Brewing Co. operated from 1905 until 1920, producing Bock Beer, Hazelnut Ale, Hazelwood Famous, Hazelwood Old Style, Hazelwood Pilsener and Hazelwood Porter. Brewing operations ceased due to the national prohibition (1920-1933); during this time, the brewery made cereal products and beverages.The U.S. Government took the company to court in 1925 for violating Section 25 of the National Prohibition Act, after 3,835 barrels of beer, large amounts of hops and brewing equipment were found on site. The beer, measured at 4% alcohol content, was destroyed.
