The McKeesport Connecting Railroad Roundhouse was incorporated in 1889 with the purpose of constructing and operating a railroad from McKeesport to Port Perry, Pa. The roundhouse, built circa 1906 on the Monongahela River, was used as a heavy-repair and machine shop for locomotives.
